What this policy covers
This policy covers deschenesfinancial.com, the website of Deschenes Financial Services Inc., an independent insurance agency in San Antonio, Texas. Our brand sites, such as Texas Business Home Auto Insurance or Turn 65 Medicare, have their own privacy policies.
It does not cover what an insurance company collects once you apply with them. Each carrier has its own privacy notice.
What we collect
The contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message.
The agent application: your name, email address and phone number, and the licensing and experience details you choose to send.
Automatically: the ordinary records a web server keeps for each request, including your IP address and browser type, used to keep the site secure.
What we do with it
We use it to answer you, to review agent applications, and to keep a record of the request. Form messages are delivered to the agency by email through Google Workspace.
We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to lead brokers, data brokers or marketing list companies.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. It sets a session cookie, needed for the forms to work, and staff sign-in cookies for the agency's internal tools.
How long we keep it
While there is a business or legal reason to keep it. Insurance agencies in Texas have record-keeping obligations, and where those apply we keep the record for as long as they require.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it: contact@deschenesfinancial.com or 210-696-7900.
As an insurance agency we are a financial institution under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. If you would like our GLBA privacy notice in full, ask and we will send it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and access to internal tools is limited to agency staff accounts. No website can promise perfect security; if a breach affects your information we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
